REBECCA & CONOR | Pre Wedding Shoot
Uncle Bok's | Bar & Eatery
Unlce Bok’s in Crown Street Wollongong serves up a very unique fusion of international cuisines & a “Tipsy Tapas” & bottomless drinks on Saturday’s & Sunday’s. I had the pleasure to photograph the restaurant, a couple of dishes & drinks that are available at Uncle Bok’s. The decor & food style really tell a story. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss.

LISA & DAVE | Pre Wedding Shoot
What a pleasure it was working with both Lisa & Dave, their easy & care free attitude really made for a natural shoot. They booked in their wedding photography with us & received a free pre-wedding photoshoot. I believe that this is necessary as it give the couples a feel for what the day will be like in a casual & relaxed environment. No pressure, it’s just like a practice run.

DESTINATION WEDDING | Cordoba, Spain
DESTINATION WEDDING | Cordoba, Spain
My wife & I recently arrived home from holidaying in Spain. I was invited to capture a special wedding in Cordoba, one of the oldest cities in Spain with their old traditions and rich culture.
Every wedding has something unique to share & every culture has their own traditions. It was an honour to photograph such a rare and special occasion.

CREATING, COOKING & CAPTURING
CREATING, COOKING & CAPTURING
Before the age of 20 I lived my life in Novosibirsk, Russia. My mother cooked every meal for me & she cooked every meal with love. In Russia, food is a vital part of every family & especially important in bringing everyone together. I believe food is as important to every culture, & there is a great sense of culture in all food.
When I moved from Russia alone, there was only myself to rely on. On my travels I met amazing friends from around the world. When I lived in Estonia I met one of my best friends, Andrea my then Italian roommate. He would share his family recipes with me & I became very interested in different culture & their ways of cooking. Andrea inspired my love of food & from then onwards whenever I travelled I would always seek new cultural food experiences.
My first question when retiring from ballet & moving to Australia was to my wife… “What should I do for work here?”, I was surprised to hear her answer wasn’t ballet & teaching related, “Just go to your favourite restaurant & show them how passionate your are about your cooking & food”.
That’s what I did, & here I am now.
Creating, cooking & capturing in the kitchen.
WOLLONGONG, MY NEW HOME | WINTER VIBES 2019
WOLLONGONG, MY NEW HOME | WINTER VIBES 2019
After a life of non-stop travel &back to back performances Wollongong seems to be the place I have “settled”. Never thinking I would ever settle & still not believing it, my new home brings a lot of comfort & for me although not much winter.
Being born in Siberia, Russia my idea of winter is knee high snow, the spine tingling scraping of ice off windshields in the morning, huge jackets & watching people walk depressively slow outside in the piercingly cold -30 degree weather. My new found home brings with it upbeat winter vibes: A fisherman in shorts by the ocean, a women walking a pack of dogs quite cheerfully in her short sleeve t-shirt, several people hurling themselves out of aeroplanes & the committed early birds jumping into the ocean pools every single morning. Wollongong’s winter is not winter, but I’m not complaining.

KIM & JOSH | Pre-Wedding Photoshoot | Royal Botanic Gardens
The Royal Botanic Gardens, a first date location for engaged couple Kim & Josh. With the location being a special part of their history, there was no question we would create some magical moments during this Pre-Wedding photoshoot.
